Dallas HQ Expanding – Controls Engineer – Professional Engineer – 1432
High visibility opportunity to set the tone for an important new Engineering Center.
If you’re a role model for EE excellence – and a good, positive communicator, this is a time to step forward.
A dominant international player has named its Dallas facilities as North American Headquarters for an already thriving engineering / procurement / construction (EPC) firm.
Typical projects serve the Oil and Gas, Power, Aggregate, and Food and Beverage industries.
The Engineering Center in Dallas is about to expand in a big way – especially on the EE side.
The employer plans to support a truly excellent team of EEs based outside of Dallas with an even larger EE capability inside Dallas.
Right now, the company is looking for a Controls Engineer with Professional Engineering certification to become a central figure – the core EE presence in Dallas, who also sustains vital relationships for the existing EEs. The President has guaranteed proper staffing support in Dallas. Sophisticated communications networks are fully operational.
This Is What You’ll Do
There are two key functions in this position.
As an engineer, most of the work is conceptual, with a lot of customer interaction. It’s one reason that good sales instincts are important.
As an early role model, the company needs someone confidant, competent, and positive, capable of adjusting with shifting dynamics as the Dallas team is built out.
The position is full time, permanent, with salary, bonus and benefits. Expect a conventional work week. Travel is sporadic but humane. Maybe 40%.
The entire company is courteous, supportive, and a pleasure to be around. I know them well.
