Close tolerance, high speed progressive. Journeyman Tool and Die Maker with formal apprenticeship training.
Tooling – Design, build, trouble shoot, maintain, and repair various dies. Includes fine blanking, progressive, draw, compound, 4-slide, multi slide, blanking and secondary tooling. Also gage and fixture work, including building and trouble-shooting welding fixtures and molds.
Extensive prototype work, from concept to customer approved parts.
Tool Design – Tooling for punch presses, parts for production equipment, customer parts and equipment.
Equipment – Build, repair, or maintain Mold Presses, Punch Presses, Production Lines, Packaging Lines and other manufacturing equipment.
Automotive – Delphi, Visteon, Ford, Chrysler and Takata.
Management – Plant Manager, Tool Room Manager, Foreman, and Lead Man. Also owned and operated several businesses, including a job shop.
Apprenticeship Programs – Organized and taught Tool and Die along with machinist apprenticeships. Programs arranged thru the Tool and Manufacturing Association, the State of Illinois, and the federal government apprentice program.
A firm believer in continuous improvement and preventive maintenance.
