Innoculating Against Healthcare

When the spirit of our country moves from leaving citizens alone, so they can at least try to be happy – to grabbing whatever we can, to be sure we all get what’s coming to us – then we share the mentality of peasants storming a castle.  The election results are in.  The actual results are not.

Time to look in on the health care monstrosity.  We don’t need to review my opinion about how fundamentally wrong I believe this is.  That would be repetitive.  We can now witness what is actually happening as this outrage begins crushing its way into our lives.

More Politicians, Less Health Care

As health insurance companies remove products from the market – or leave the market entirely, the political uproar has just begun.  Republicans and Tea Party candidates effectively staged one of the most massive political overthrows in U.S. history.

To the incoming Senators and Congressmen, the too little, too late opportunity to kill Obamacare, and a tsunami of debt and taxes, may create more noise than results.

Team Obama was very clear that the goal was to rush the hill, plant a flag for progressive entitlements, and lose whatever soldiers had to be lost.  They have said they fully intend to come back later to finish dismantling the United States, seizing its wealth, and handing over its sovereignty to the rest of the world.

Globalization, they call it.

Health Care Bruises

I have an unverified benefits story from a small machine shop in Georgia.  It seems the owner got word that his company’s insurance premiums were going to double.  Double!

There was no way his (otherwise profitable) business could afford that.

According to the story, here’s some of his solution:  He had a connection with a large employer in the area.  He helped his best employee leave his company and join the larger employer, allowing that employee to get good pay and great benefits.  Insurance problem solved.  Now, the employee returns to the machine shop on off hours, carrying on with his old job, working reduced hours.

Lovely.

Healthcare By-Pass

If you have the political pull and enough lawyers, there is another solution.

Here’s a link to a web page of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.  The link saves you some extensive clicking around to find this not-so-obvious list.  It details the names and dates of approved applications from organizations seeking waivers from the new Obamacare legislation.

Obamacare Waivers

Right now, 111 organizations, including unions and insurance companies, do not have to comply with the Obamacare law.

Little machine shops get crushed.  Organizations with political connections and lawyers get members, employees,… and waivers.

God help us.
